Watch For Me This Spring!
Just wanted to make an update and let everyone know that I am planning to get back to this blog after the first of the year, probably heading toward spring. Have been on hiatus from cardwork and now need to work on Christmas gifts but the cardwork will resume after that. I can't wait to get back to cardwork, to this blog, and selling on Etsy again!

Sorry I've Been MIA!
Folks, I'm sorry I haven't posted much lately and also that I haven't kept up with my "Celebrate With Me" feature in my sidebar. Things have been very busy and I also have a new computer and am in the process of moving my files and all that comes with that. Thanks for checking in every so often and keep watching for new posts and other features!

Teamwork
We can all use feedback and encouragement in anything we do and there is a lot of that on Etsy, particularly in the form of teams. I am now a member of four Etsy teams and have found support, had questions answered, and gotten far more exposure than I could have without being on the teams. Let me introduce you to the teams I'm a part of and show you a few randomly chosen listings from each team (click on any item you'd like to know more about)...
Etsy Greetings Team. I think this is the team you'll hear the most about because it is for cardmakers. It has a friendly but professional feel and I've learned a lot from these ladies (and a few gentlemen, can't leave them out!). This team is "... a dynamic team of greeting card artists who collaborate to promote our artisanship through Etsy.com. Our goal is to become the number one resource for buyers seeking quality handmade cards." Indeed, the cards you find in the shops on this team are fantastic!

TeamCAC (Christian Artists & Crafters). I joined this team because I want and need Christian support in my Etsy endeavors. There are so many talented artists here who also love the Lord. These folks (mostly ladies) are very friendly! They are "...a team of Christians who come into this group at different levels of spiritual growth in our walk with the Lord. We are here to support one another no matter what our level of faith or doctrine knowledge...This is a "TEAM" and it is important that each member participate in team functions in an effort to raise visibility for our stores. This means pitching for others and making an effort to promote your fellow teammates, as well as, your own store. Our agenda is to support one another in our sales, promotions, friendship and faith." Well said!

Christian Artists Street Team (CAST). CAST is actually the first team I joined and although I'm not as involved with it as I used to be, I am proud to remain a member. I like CAST because it is "...a group of Christian Artists and Artisans who believe Etsy is a great place to buy and sell handcrafted, family friendly items." There is great fellowship among both CAST and TeamCAC.

The team I joined most recently is Create Ability. This team is "...a group of artists either with disabilities ourselves, or a caregiver of a disabled person, who use art and Etsy as "therapy" and our link to network with others. Our mission is to form partnerships for building our businesses, support each other, and encourage growth within the etsy and artist community. We choose to take back control of the terms used around our various conditions, and hope to bring knowledge and awareness to those around us." I live with fibromyaglia and a few other health issues and my cardwork helps me cope with those things. It's nice to know that I'm not the only artist who lives with disabilities.

Go Visit My Friend!
You may remember that back in October I got a wholesale order. That was a big blessing for me, and for Melissa, who requested the order. I have again been blessed with a wholesale request from Melissa! Although I have had to make the decision that wholesaling isn't in my best interest because of my health, I feel so honored and blessed that Melissa likes my work enough to have wanted 11 different cards this time! I may not be able to wholesale to her but I would love for you to see her online shop, Signature Stationery Boutique. Her shop hasn't been open all that long but she already has some very nice cards in there. Some of them are quite clever. I encourage you to go take a look--you may just find a card you can't pass up! And thanks, Melissa, for the opportunity back in October and for requesting my work again. You are a real blessing and I pray your shop thrives.
This is my favorite card in her shop, it is so precious--and remember that Mother's Day will be here before you know it!
(Remember that I did not make this card and don't know who to give credit to. But if you love it as much as I do, you can buy it here.)

I Won!
Wow, I'm so thrilled--I got the most votes for the Etsy Greetings Team February challenge! What an honor and blessing! Thanks to any readers who voted for me, as well as all my other voters, of course. Gloria in Florida was randomly chosen to recieve my card and it was a pleasure to drop that in the mail to her yesterday. She is planning on giving it to her mother, whose birthday is the 17th (St. Patrick's Day) and thinks her mother will really love it. If everyone's vote are any indication, she'll like it. :-)
